The draft texts regarding the mandatory introduction of the mobility budget are on the table. It has been clear for some time that a mandatory introduction from January 1, 2026, would be difficult to achieve. The deadline for the mandatory introduction of the mobility budget is therefore being postponed.
💼 The draft texts still need to go through their various stages to effectively become law. This is expected by the end of Q1:
Every employer who makes a company car available (or has done so to date) must offer the mobility budget to all employees who have a company car or are entitled to one.
In the long term, this measure will require nearly 40,000 companies to introduce the mobility budget:
from 1 January 2027 all enterprises with more than 50 employees;
from 1 January 2028, all enterprises with more than 15 employees.
