Jef van den Bergh is a former Member of Parliament in the Belgian Federal Parliament with 25 years of experience in legislative processes and policymaking.
During his parliamentary term, he worked on numerous mobility dossiers in the broadest sense. For example, he launched the foundation of the legal framework for the Belgian mobility budget, at the intersection of mobility, taxation, and labor law.
He possesses in-depth knowledge of the mobility budget's policy objectives, including the legal framework and implementation mechanisms, including eligibility requirements, employer obligations, the principle of cost neutrality, and the implications for social security and tax regulations. His expertise also includes analyzing the impact of the mobility budget on both employers and employees.
Today, Jef van den Bergh combines his parliamentary experience with an operational approach to legislation and compliance, supporting organizations in translating federal mobility legislation into feasible and sustainable mobility strategies. As (co-)founder of the statutory mobility budget, he is also regularly consulted for policy feedback and is involved in workshops and conferences.
